The Glendower Group led the redevelopment of Valley Townhomes, a 3.21-acre site located near West Rock State Park, Southern Connecticut State University, and major retail centers in New Haven and Hamden. This revitalization project replaced ten existing structures with 40 brand-new units, ranging from two to five bedrooms. Of these, 32 units are LIHTC RAD units, and eight will be market-rate housing.
Valley Townhomes includes nine townhome-style buildings, some with flats, and a separate community building. The bedroom mix features seven two-bedroom units, 17 three-bedroom units, 13 four-bedroom units, and three five-bedroom units, with parking for 36 vehicles. Special features include washer and dryer hookups, central air, and construction that meets passive house building standards for energy efficiency. Four units will be ADA/UFAS compliant, and eight units will provide supportive housing. The community center offers a space for gatherings and an on-site computer lab.
