The Glendower Group has been awarded over $800 million dollars in redevelopment funds and have redeveloped just under 3,000 units. We have been awarded a much coveted HOPE VI grant as well as a grant for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (Recovery Act Fund) through the Housing and Urban Development department.
In 2021, Glendower was the proud recipient of two coveted awards in the Public Housing Development industry. Glendower first received the New Haven Preservation Trust award “For housing which is of historic architectural significance as an outstanding representative of its period, exhibiting much of its original character by virtue of continued maintenance or sensitive rehabilitation.” Glendower was proud to accept on behalf of their Newhall Gardens development. The award is displayed in their common room for residents to enjoy.
Glendower also announced that they won the NMA Development Award for Large Agencies for revitalizing the former Farnam Courts, now known as Mill River Crossing, in the Fair Haven neighborhood – a Rental Assistance Demonstration, Tax Credit Development from Nan McKay & Associates. First launched in 2007, the NMA Housing Awards are normally awarded at the NMA Annual Housing Conference. This year due to precautions for safety during the pandemic, the awards were virtual and attended by housing authority professionals across the country as well as winners and NMA leadership. Glendower was honored to be the recipient of this widely regarded award. You can read about the award, here: Glendower Wins Coveted NMA Development Award.
In 2020, The Glendower Group was given the ‘Developer Investment Award’ by the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, a wonderful honor.
